Decent content, but poor user interface, and not yet updated to iOS 7 (let alone 8)

There seems to be problems in playing sound on the iPad Pro Ole Frank

This is why I dont pay for apps. I bought this mainly for the conjugation feature, and it doesnt work (Im running OS 3.0 on an iPod Touch). The app crashes every time I try to conjugate a verb.

Dictionary is very useful and the quotations section is a nice bonus. One thing I did not like is that there are no cross references so if you see a word you do not know you cannot just click on it to go to its definition.Pronunciation information is also missing.

They corrected the audio button problem and we can finally listen to words prononciation! Very Good!

When I try to hear the pronunciation it crashes the app.

One of the most important things I was looking for was the pronunciation but I cant hear it, unfortunately it doesnt work on my iPhone 6. Can you guys fix it???

Overall a very nice app, but it has some fatal problems. 1. When the system language is set to anything other than French, "conjugaison" function does not work at all. The app always crashes when the button is tapped. 2. When the system language is not French, the explanations in the start-up screen becomes empty. 3. When the system language is not French, the buttons to switch the functions are unnecessarily translated into English. Who want them in English when this is a "Dictionnaire de français"? 4. There is no function to change the font size. Although the overall layout is beautiful and clear, the font appears too small to read longer texts. For an app costing €5, these issues are rather embarrassing. Developers, please fix them as soon as possible.

This is a great French dictionary. I love that it has audio and bookmarks. Highly recommended! PS: Thanks for fixing the audio issue!

This is a good app with valuable content. However, it needs improvements. Please automatically clear out the current word and focus the text field when I touch Search in navigation bar. I find myself repeatedly deleting current word in order to look up new word.

Dont update... The new version is a total fail

Echo what everybody else has said. Poor UI and no Siri integration!!! Harper Collins has it and for free. Having voice recognition would help my kids tremendously since French is a second language for them.

Streaming error: no sound Please repair I chose it just for that :( Would have deserved 5 stars otherwise ...

After upgrading to ios6 this application remained locked in landscape mode. I have deleted and reloaded with no remedy. If it werent for this annoying inconvenience, this app. could be qualified as the best french dictionary available on ipad. The developer is expected to urgently interfere and correct the problem.

good level dictionary complete with typical expressions and verbs

I am using an iTouch 2G. The app is awful, painfully slow responding to keystrokes, areas for touch commands just dont react, crashes often. Save your money--a shame because the content is excellent.

Initial bugs now fixed (not so "mineur" as the announcment had it, since trying to use the verb conjugations crashed the whole thing), this app can now really be used. And its very good, like the Larousse hardbound dictionaries, which are miles ahead of their competitors.

UPDATE: Thanks for the update. There was nothing minor about the known problems, but theyre gone, now, and this is a wonderful app--lovely and functional. I would love to love this app. Its precisely what I was looking for, a pure French dictionary. Unfortunately, it crashes when loading words--verbs, mostly, random inasmuch as the words that crash it, but consistent in said words crashing it. Furthermore, the home page shows arrows with no text at their sides, which by no means matches the home screen in the sample image, the one where the arrows are followed by claims of vocabulary volume. Please test and correct. Ill revise my rating and ammend my review when stability is restored and the product does what its advertised to do.

Problems have been corrected. I wholeheartedly recommend the app.
